He drove it to NYC, picked up our family and drove us back to Los Angeles.\r\nThe car had what I think was called a \"Kettering\" engine. It had carb problems from almost the first miles. We ultimately had to find a dealer en route back to LA to service it and as luck would have it, the whole work force was on strike. My dad crossed the picket line in the car in order to get it fixed. I was an ugly scene, allowing me to form permanent memories unions and picket lines. \r\nI remember the fuzzy seats. I know that I sat in back and read \"Paths of Glory\". Previous owner here. I owned this phenomenal machine from November 2019 to May 2021. From my understanding, I was only the third owner. The owner previous to me did almost all of the restoration work on this car. He owned the car from 1983 in Hayward, California until I bought it in 2019. It was supposedly purchased new from an unknown Cadillac Agency in Los Angeles, California in late 1950.\r\n\r\nBuyer - This car brought a smile to my face each and every time I drove it. I\u2019ve had many cars including a 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville that I restored completely as a teenager in the 1980s; THIS CAR gets more attention from everyone than that car ever did.
