How many orig paint LS6 ,Hemi Cudas or Boss 429 are out there ? Most of them have been restored and many have been only repainted and all have held their values. Of course the untouched bring more money but the difference is becoming more marginal as the cars become less available. Point is the GNX is pushing the 40yr mark, so you are going to see more repainted but not restored cars than say 20yrs ago as the paint just plain SUCKED from GM back then. With only 547 of them made , a repainted car will still bring close to market value as shown here with one selling over 200k . This car if ever painted will not lose its value IMO and will just be a better version of a 1000mile original panel and equipment GNX.
