There was already a buyer for my car so it would have been an even trade $ wise. I really loved the way the 991.2 looked and it was the same color combination as my 997. I was in the mood to switch things up and thought it would be a fun trade. However, after driving the 991 for 5 minutes I knew that I could never make the trade. The car was phenomenal in every way, but unfortunately if you've owned a 997 you're spoiled for life. It simply lacked the raw and connected feel of the 997. This was most obvious in the steering, where the 997 feels telepathic and the 991 feels almost luxurious. There is no doubt the 991 is a fantastic car and on paper it's superior in every way. If I was using it as a daily commuter, I probably would have bought it. However, for a car used purely for the joy of driving, there was simply no comparison in my mind. The 997.2 is unbeatable.
