I had PTuning install IAG AVCS and turbo oil feed lines in preparation for its protune. \r\n\r\nBNR Turbo did not come with car when I received it. A stock VF40 is currently in the car (unsure if newer or refurbished but it spools great!). However, I did pick up an OEM STi VF48 turbo that will come with the car (I have OEM STi 'blue' injectors somewhere in the garage that was installed with the same motor as the turbo. I'll have to take a harder look this week but they will come with the car as well). The turbo is reported to have <50k miles. When I bought it, the clutch needed replacement and the 1st owner/PO wanted to 'upgrade' to a Charger Daytona/392. It was well maintained... I'm also the 'scribe' of the maintenance spreadsheet, as Mike included a thick stack of all invoices/receipts dating back to purchase of the car. \r\n\r\nI've had a dozen or so manual turbo Legacys, Outbacks, Imprezas, etc., over the years, including an ARA-spec Legacy rally car (from BaT) and this LGTW was one of the best examples I had ever seen. Unfortunately/fortunately, a few months after buying this LGTW, I found my 'dream car', a 2008 Legacy GT SpecB after 2 years of searching... so I ended up listing this LGTW for sale only a few months after replacing the clutch/etc and daily-driving this in central TX.\r\n\r\nFor those that do not know, 2005 and 2006 are the ONLY years for this body-style turbo-manual wagon. Following years were all Outbacks with body cladding (mounted through holes in the door panels and rear quarter panels - bummer). This 2005 is also very unique (and partly why I 'sniped' it in 2017) because it was not a \u2018Limited\u2019 trim. Limited trim had the sunroof/moonroof and leather/vinyl seats. As a 6\u20192\u201d driver, my head wouldn\u2019t hit the A/B-pillar or roof trim on bumps with this car (but I did with all other sunroof\u2019ed BL/BP Legacys/Outbacks. Also, the Subaru Legacy GT cloth seats were far better than the 'leather' seats in terms of >15yr wear & aesthetics (and are more comfortable in summer) \u2026and the cushions/bolsters seemed to hold up better over time as well. The double-din radio bezel is/was a sought-after JDM part with a bit of a wiring conversion behind it... the original factory radios lacked bluetooth.\r\n\r\nIf my garage wasn't full, I would have bought it from the seller before he listed here... whoever buys this will get one heck of a car, and I know the seller made a very difficult choice to list it for sale. Power to the license plate lights are intermittent as I open and close the hatch.\r\n\r\n2) Car functions as it should for a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT with 169k miles. I get the car inspected annually for my own peace of mind (only one inspection is needed in my county). Nothing worrisome to report per the mechanics. Car still gets compliments for its mechanical condition. \r\n\r\n3) I would advise installing the stock downpipe (provided with car) and using the stock tune (also provided via Accessport). However, I had PTuning custom fabricate a GESI high-flow cat to the downpipe which could be acceptable for some shops. Results may vary. \r\n\r\n4) Aside from the cats doing their best to filter out the gross stuff the car does not smoke. You can download the FSM for 2005 LGT on the internet for free. Or add a \u201cbypass fuse\u201d into the fuse box as a dedicated circuit that would supply Parking+ to the license plate bulbs. The hardest part is probably removing the trim and finding the wire to merge. A shop might take 1-2 hours.
