My mechanic has suggested a number of engine items (such as replacing the motor and transmission mounts and replacing the drive belt and belt tensioner) that I had fixed, but he never said that it needed a new wiring harness. The A / C works and blows cold. The rear seats do recline and the seat heaters work. The only issue is the front headrest need to be manually adjusted. The front seats electrically move and recline. The CD Player in the trunk was always spinning and therefore draining the battery so I had the fuse removed.\r\nI am glad to answer further questions or comments. It is not clear to me whether it was replaced or whether w140 had biodegradable to begin with. For me, I take direction from Pacific Motors in Santa Monica. They suggested and I did many engine fixes. They did NOT mention a wiring harness problem.
