My GT350R lip is beat to death, so I bought a spare. Even my lowly SL63 scrapes unless I am very careful. I had the same problem with a C6 427. We survived and it has moved on to another owner. While I would prefer to have the lift, it is not a deal-killer for the right car. There are many considerations, and the lift is a fairly small one, for me.
