It was rebuilt prior to installation by Sportscar Craftsmen in Arvada, CO, a respected British car restoration shop, who also did the engine build. The gear ratios for this box are very similar to the stock B box for the first 4 gears, except that the 5 speed is synchronized for first gear, which the '66 B box is not. Fifth gear is 0.78 overdriven, as I recall, for a very relaxed cruise at 70-75 mph on the interstate. The driving video shows the tach and speedo readings for reference. \nI drove up to the MGB conclave in Calgary in '23 from Colorado and then continued up to Jasper, AB. I got 35-36 mpg the whole trip. I didn't believe it for the first two tanks of gas, but after a third and fourth tank, I am convinced it actually gets this mileage.
