These cars ARE desirable! \r\n\r\nRegarding this C4S, we want to give some further information:\r\n\r\nAbout the Carfax, an accident is listed on 7/22/2004, prior to the car's purchase by us.\u00a0 We contacted State Farm (the insurance company for both vehicles involved in the accident)\u00a0and were provided with the following description:\u00a0 \"The Porsche was stopped at a red light; the light turned green, and a Ford Explorer behind the Porsche accelerated quickly, hitting the Porsche before the Porsche had cleared the intersection and causing rear-end damage to the bumper and taillight of the Porsche; the Ford Explorer required no repairs.\"\u00a0\u00a0A pre-purchase car inspection in 2008, prior to purchase by us, found no evidence of a previous\u00a0accident, including no structural damage.\u00a0 An appraisal in 2022 found the vehicle shows no structural damage from previous impact, with only panel/taillight\u00a0removal and replacement repair having been performed.\u00a0 (Vehicle actually has had clean reports listed on BeenVerified, ClearVin, and AutoCheck.)\r\n\r\nAbout the TMU, the mileage shown is very, very close to exact . . . within a mile or two. Service records show the car passed a vehicle inspection at Woodhouse Porsche in Omaha, Nebraska, on 11/02/2017 at 43,403 miles. The car was subsequently driven home (157 miles) and stored for the winter of 2017 and then shipped from Nebraska to Maine in March 2018 because the seller was in the process of relocating. Due to the seller subsequently developing health problems, the vehicle has remained stored (secure, indoors) in Maine at the local mechanic's shop/storage, getting moved only for maintenance, appraisal, and improvements, until the present time. During this period, on vehicle inspection in early fall 2019, the odometer/speedometer was noted to be non-functional. The part was sent for repairs, but due to the COVID pandemic and related problems with finding available service and parts, the work was not completed until August 2021.
