This car would be the equivalent to the Ultra Luxury package on the LS430. You don't see an LS460 with these specs often. The 2010 LS460 is still prone to some of the common issues that the LS460 has such as sticky dashboard and door panels (this one has the leather door panels, so is less of an issue for the doors at least), brake actuator failure, control arm failure, Mark Levinson amp failure and air suspension failure since this one is equipped with that option. It does look like this LS was built after Lexus updated the control arms in late 2010, however, it still didn't fix the problem and we are now seeing bushings fail on even the 13+ LS. The LS has 8 control arms and the whole arm has to be replaced when the bushings fail so it gets costly. Even though this LS only has 13k miles, the arms could still be bad and the air suspension could fail at anytime given its age. Overall the LS460 is still a reliable car by any standards but it does have a few more common issues than the LS430. I think the Dashboard itself was at 4-5k). The dealer confirmed this was an age and temp related issue (not mileage). So warmer states would experiencing it first, but apparently they all do eventually. My worry was having someone take apart the dash and put things together w/o new squeaks, rattles and noises... \r\n\r\nMine was MINT with every option except executive package... so pretty much same at this one. If I wanted to keep the car, I'd almost have considered it, but it had the valley cooling leak (warranty covered it), all the suspension control arms/bushings (dry rotted due to age, not mileage) and the air suspension was $2500 each to fix and I needed 2 at the time which was leaking. Never hit a pothole or anything like that, and the car was used only for weekend road trips hence the lower miles.\r\n\r\nThe Mark Levinson amp was also replaced under warranty. I think all this happened within 7 years and 55k miles. The dash would be \"OK\" when it was cold, but after a couple of hours parked in the sun, it'd be shiny and if you ran your hand through it... it left a residue. \r\n\r\nTBH, none of these things were a dealbreaker, nothing would have left me stranded on the side of the road, but when added it all up and realizing these were each not inexpensive repairs, I traded it in. The car has both incredibly positive aspects, as well as significant (in terms of cost) future drawbacks that will eventually require addressing. \r\n\r\nI know, I owned a black/black 2007 LS460-L for about 18 months, wanting it to be my long-term daily driver. It had 150k on it when I bought it, and was meticulously maintained by previous owners via records I accessed from Lexus service database. The car drove better than anything I've ever experienced in terms of the combination of power, luxury, quality ride, and silence. I LOVED that aspect of the car. The Mark Levinson system was CRAZY GOOD. I would literally sit in the garage in the back (hugely comfortable) seat and watch DVDs just to experience the sound system. Mine also had the luxury package. The interior was just over-the-top nice. I think it had some of the interior recall done, and other parts not done, so while not perfect, it was still the best interior I've ever driven around in. The power of the V8 was amazing for such a heavy car, and everything inside worked perfectly at 150k miles.\r\n\r\nBut then, in what seemed like a period of a few months, I got to experience all the things mentioned by other posters, and did a lot of research on Lexus forums and such, and learned these were not isolated incidents, but design/manufacturing flaws that most long term owners experienced. The A-arms started creaking and squeaking, and sure enough several of the bushings were cracked and torn. Then the air suspension in the front gave out. It would still air itself back up when I started it up and last for a day or two, but I knew an expensive repair was ahead of me. Finally, I noticed a few interior pieces started doing their \"sticky/discolored\" thing. I could see the writing on the wall. \r\n\r\nI decided not to sink the thousands of dollars into the suspension, A-arms, and other things the car needed to keep me excited to keep driving it daily. I sold it and took a reasonable loss on the car. \r\n\r\nI say all this as someone who loved the car when I bought it, loved it everytime I drove it, and looked forward to doubling the mileage it had on it when I bought it. But I'm not a rich guy who can afford to sink the kind of money into this car that it would require over those anticipated miles, so I sold it. If those repairs and costs don't bother you, then I cannot recommend this car highly enough. It's an incredible machine. But if $7500 air suspension bills, or $2500 front suspension rebuilds make you cringe, I suggest maybe something else. Because despite the low miles on this car, it WILL need those repairs in the future.
