I didn't want to chance it, so I installed new. \n\nI assure you the Odo has not been rolled. 3,600 miles from new and that's accurate. \n\nThe car was in the prior owner's garage in 1986 on flat tires and in 1990 I tried to buy the car from the prior owner but we could not come to terms. There are quite a few, however on the drivers door. Perhaps as many as a dozen. That said, I've had dings taken out of previous cars which were much worse than these with nor problem. I'm sure the dings to the vehicle could easily be smoothes by a competent removal service.\nOverall, the paint is excellent and appears to be original. I looked hard for tape lines, overspray, anything that would say repaint and found nothing. The paint has great shine and has no swirl marks in it that I could tell. The only exterior issue othervthan whats been called out by the seller is the stone guars on the rear fenders. They have started to discolor and have some slight cracking in them. \nThe car started well, held idle, and drove perfect. The drive was very limited, as much as I could do in a parking lot. but the clutch, steering and shifter felt tight and precise.\nEverything I could tell worked. AC, radio, power seats, power antenna and power windows. I did not operate the moon roof or the defrost.\nRegarding the cloth \"berber\" interior: it's brand new. Everything inside looked as if the car was brand new. I have all books, records, original mechanical parts (and original tires) which were replaced, the original Porsche labeled battery and new and unused in the box Porsche labeled oil filters. In addition, the car come with original build sheet, window sticker, purchase agreement, service records, air gage, keys, ect. \n\nBased on Joe\u2019s reaction to the car I think it\u2019s safe to safe that he was impressed with the car. He did say something to me that caught me off guard. He said that acquiring this car \u201csatisfied my 12 year old boy\u201d. He\u2019s right. I wanted this car when I was 12 (from before I could drive) and couldn\u2019t afford this car when I was 18 yrs old and tried to buy it from the prior owner (it was sitting on flat tires then). So, at age 43, some 25 yrs later, I was finally able to acquire the car I wanted from my youth. The problem is that I am not going to take it to concur or parades and have too many other cars to drive and no time to enjoy it. \n\nSo, a new owner is getting an amazing car.
