As you can see, I bought it a year ago and drove about 6000 miles. In the meantime, I've enjoyed it immensely and improved it. I'm going to miss it, but I've lived a dream.\r\n\r\nSince I've owned it, the following has been done:\r\nMechanical/maintenance:\r\n1. Changed front brake pads\r\n2. Changed all brake lines\r\n3. New brake/clutch fluid\r\n4. New splash shields in the front fenders\r\n5. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on all four corners\r\n6. Oil/filter changes\r\n7. Replaced engine air filters\r\n8. Replaced cabin air filters\r\n9. Repair the seat twist\r\n\r\nUpgrades/improvements:\r\n1. Changed \"brown\" wood trim to black birch anthracite \"unobtanium.\" There are a couple of very minor scratches near the shift boot but it is in great shape and a huge upgrade. Pictures don't do it justice.\r\n2. Replaced headlights with OEM euro. Clear sidemarker and fresh new Xenon.\r\n3. Dynavin 8 Pro head unit with Apple Carplay, Spotify, etc. Steering wheel controls still work. Original head unit is included with sale.\r\n4. Dinan short shifter, ZHP weighted shift knob and new boot.\r\n5. Magnaflow rear mufflers. These were not my original plan but... I haven't taken them off. They're a little \"boomy\" between ~1100-1600 RPM, but during the vast majority of driving you can hear the S62 much better. Original mufflers will be included with sale.\r\n6. Replaced rear headrest which had shrunk and split at seams.\r\n7. 40% window tint all around to keep said splitting from occurring again. Looks subtle, is uniform, and should be legal almost everywhere.\r\n8. Repaired vapor barrier on left rear door.\r\n9. Deep cleaned and detailed the entire interior. Went over the leather three times with Angelwax Heaven for Leather. Some before and after pics are included.\r\n10. Added the Trickbits cupholder.\r\n11. Changed the center armrest for an opening version.\r\n\r\nAs you'll see from the last auction, this car was a bit of a wild card. It had been a bit neglected, but mechanically I lucked out. It starts every time, no CEL's. I would not hesitate (and did not) to take this on road trips. It burns a half-quart every 500-2000 miles depending on how you've driven it, like many S62's. No apparent leaks. Garage-kept while in my ownership. No dead pixels AND the cupholders work!\r\n\r\nThe list of what does not work: cruise control. That's the list. I had a mechanic look into it but he didn't go too far down the rabbit hole. Everything else works - power windows & locks, power & heated memory seats, A/C/heat/defrost, sport button, traction control on/off, parking sensors, windshield washer fluid/pump, etc.\r\n\r\nWhat I would do if I was to own it for another year: buy floor mats. That's it. (I did try to buy a set of mats from a certain 3-letter website and they were \"backordered\" and the order was recentlycanceled.)\r\n\r\nWhat I would do if I was to own it for another three years: change the rear brake pads. I changed the front to Hawk HPS. I am pretty sure the front pads were ceramic and I suspect the rear are too - changing the front pads helped take alot of softness out of the pedal. I bet changing the rears would help stiffen the pedal a bit more. The front dash is also shrunk/cracked near the defrost vents, I might change that if I came across a leather version. But you can't see it from the front seats.\r\n\r\nWhat I might do to keep it fresh for another ten years: figure out the paint. The hood has some significant dings and poor touch-up - I just left it alone. The trunk and some other areas are looking tired.\r\n\r\nIt's obviously not a show car or inexpensive to maintain - it's a 20-year old German car with 136k miles. But I would sell it to a friend or a family member without hesitation.
