As was already guessed below, I\u2019m genuinely sad to be letting go of my 128i and am really hoping it ends up with someone who enjoys driving it as much as I have.\r\n\r\nI ordered this car new with long-term ownership in mind\u2014choosing the naturally aspirated inline-six, 6-speed manual, and M Sport Package, while skipping the iDrive system and turbochargers. I wanted something fun to drive, reliable for the long haul, and timeless in design\u2014and this car has absolutely delivered.\r\n\r\nIt\u2019s in great shape. Most of the mileage is from highway commuting at speed, and it\u2019s never been tracked. It\u2019s always been maintained at BMW dealers, has been garage-kept for most of its life, and has never had any accidents, paintwork, or bodywork.\r\n\r\nThe only reason I\u2019m selling is to switch to a four-door BMW EV that better fits life with two small kids. It\u2019s quick\u2014but the 128i offers something different: a whole-body, analog driving experience that\u2019s incredibly rare today. I still prefer driving this car.\r\n\r\nI\u2019ve included photos from when I first brought it home, and another set at 100k miles here in Colorado. I\u2019ll be checking in at least at the start and end of each workday (Mountain Time), and more often when I can. Mine came off the assembly line a month later - same colours, same options (except mine doesn't have Comfort Access), with nearly the same mileage.\r\n\r\nI bought mine used, in 2018, but my reasons for purchase were also virtually the same. I wanted something that would be reliable for the long haul. The N52 engine avoids the complexities of the turbocharged engines, and it has a reputation for good reliability. I also thought racers would be drawn to the 135i, as the N54/N55 turbocharged engines are more powerful from the factory and it's relatively inexpensive to add a lot of power, so I thought a 128i would be less likely to have been driven hard by the original owner. I've since added a 3-stage intake manifold and the stock tune from a Euro X5, so it's still OEM parts and adds about 30 hp.\r\n\r\nIt's been a great car; I absolutely love it, and I have no plans ever to sell it.
