Where I am -- a place with no safety inspections or emissions testing -- I could get tags after fixing the passenger headlight. Where this car is in NY, probably not possible. But driving this back and forth to the track would be miserable. Miatas are light enough that even smaller trucks or SUVs can tow them in many places, particularly if you have a lightweight trailer. And towing means you don't have to skimp on what you take with you, you don't have to unpack and repack the car at the track, and most important, you always have a ride home.
