It seems like everyone loves this car just as much as I do. A brief history of the car, it was listed on BAT locally in 2018 when I acquired it. I managed to track down the owner in my area and make him a cash offer for the car. (Which was why the last time the car was listed it was removed just a few days into the auction). So I apologize to anyone who may have been confused or disappointed when it was listed in 2018. Most of the work I did to the car in the first few years was simple maintenance, fluids, brakes, suspension and steering, wheels and tires, cleaning the fuel tank, upgrading the alternator, and starter, new head gasket, the ports cleaned, the valves recut, and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. To get the car to be a heathy and reliable. In regards to the smog related questions, it has always had the stock carburetor and the EGR system on the car in the past, so registration and smog tests were never a challenge, and it always passed very easily. The complete stock EGR and carb system will be sold with the car, so that if the new owner wishes to convert things back to stock, it will be easy to do. However, earlier this year I did purchase and install a DCOE Weber 40 and a single canon intake with a custom stainless steel exhaust, and a fuel pressure regulator. To see how the car would respond. Needless to say I was instantly amazed at how much quicker the car accelerated, and how much more responsive it became with such a simple modification. However, this is a complicated issue in California, and registration and smog were both due last month. My best guess from driving the car is that one of the tie rod ends just needs to be adjusted. However a full alignment hasnt been done since the new suspension and control arms were replaced.
