Not what you wanted to hear I know but I tried. I would imagine based on how the car is running that a new catalytic converter would help it to pass in places where it is required but can\u2019t say 100%. One of the reasons I bought it was because it was solid and just needed paint and some minor dings fixed. Being the rust-o-phobe that I am, I sprayed cavity wax and POR-15 in many places. When the interior was out, the floors were cleaned and coated with POR-15\r\nThe interior had to come out to replace the carpet which was brown but had faded to orange. I found out that one piece carpet apparently wasn\u2019t available so went back with a carpet kit that had many sections. No noise at a steady speed and as I said, it is minor and nothing that I would worry about if I kept the car. Took the car up to 80 today and all was rock solid. \r\nI hope the winner of this auction is a sports car person and does not expect new car perfection from a 30+ year old car with 100k miles. I use it on any pretty day and have taken it on trips up to 150 miles with h no issues.
