Welcome to my 2009 SL63 AMG auction! This car absolutely personifies Germany\u2019s response to American muscle cars with the styling and luxury you would expect in a top tier European pedigree!\r\n\r\nI luckily acquired the car through BaT after the previous sale was not successful and I was contacted as the next highest bidder. \r\n\r\nHard to imagine the ability to get a hard top convertible with a 6.2L naturally aspirated screaming V8 for less than a budget car these days (and with no concern for tariffs!) \r\n\r\nNow to the questions:\r\n1. Head Bolts: I have attached the full service records from the Mercedes Benz system: on October 14, 2014, the \u201cdamage report\u201d section stated a cylinder head bolt broken. That\u2019s the only record I have that the head bolts have been worked on. I do not (nor did the previous seller) note that all head bolts have been properly torqued, but I have not experienced any issues!\r\n2. Carfax damage: in October 2024, I was hit at a low speed (<10mph) in the middle of an intersection when an unlicensed, uninsured motorist hit me in the driver side quarter panel behind the door and in front of the wheel. The safety system worked perfectly and the roll bar deployed automatically (top was down) but no airbags deployed. I took the car to my mechanic (invoice attached) and they reset the safety switch and the car drives perfectly fine. I have since had the car repaired and repainted at a body shop back to original! It looks great!\r\n3. Engine mounts: in the 2023 BaT listing, the engine mounts were reported replaced in October 2021. I have opted to decline this service as mentioned on a few of the Orion service reports. \r\n4. Transmission: the MCT is a high powered transmission, but there\u2019s a small delay from dead stop jnto first gear until the engine temp is up to operating temp, after which the car shifts normally! I am told this is normal and does not indicate any issues with the transmission. I had the transmission fluid filter and fluid replaced in September 2023 after purchase as seen on service records. \r\n\r\nThanks for reading and please don\u2019t hesitate to send any questions! Don\u2019t miss out on the opportunity to own one of these few examples left! They\u2019re not ever going to make these big block V8s again!
