My 2006 lx470 was no exception. The only difference is I am much older and my finances are a bit longer (about the thing only cool about getting older) so now I have professionals do the work. Although I have resisted what my wife has been telling me for years here are her words not mine (As soon as the thrill of getting the vehicle into tip top shape and the look you want you fall in love with another that needs help lol) I am starting to believe her. They received a new upgraded motor then it\u2019s predecessors and jumped from 235hp to 275 hp. These motors are known to go 500k miles. What some don\u2019t consider when purchasing these vehicles is although the engine and transmission are bulletproof the suspension is not. You will end up dumping $10k on top of the sale price to get it in mechanical reliability condition of this one.\r\nThe dreaded AHC system is known to give out and is super costly to repair. The ABS module also know to give out is a costly repair. \r\nWith my Lx470 the future owner will not need to deal with anything like that. \r\nI have had the whole master cylinder unit including the \r\nABS module replaced with a factory new Lexus one.\r\nI deleted the AHC suspension system and installed a 2inch lift kit which included coils, springs, upper control arms, shocks all professionally installed . It is basically a very reliable Toyota Land Cruiser ride now.\r\nI had the steering rack, tie rod ends, cv axles all replaced. Power steering flush, coolant flush, brake pads, brake flush and wheel alignment, new battery all done.\r\nDrives very nice and smooth.\r\nI had the alternator and harness replaced.\r\nI had the timing belt, drive belt, water pump, front seal kit, thermostat, all replaced.\r\nI had 4 new BFG tires \r\n4 new TPS sensors \r\nFlat top roof rack all installed.\r\nThe front bumper was replaced with an iron man bush guard bumper. Note the factory bumper did not need replacing.
