The last true analog M car. Lighter, stiffer than the E46 M3 coupe, and sprinkled with M3 CSL parts. It got the last iteration of the S54 engine, a better ecu, M3 CSL steering rack, CSL brakes and the rear diff from a V10 M5. A true drivers cars. You would need to spend 3 times the amount of money for a Cayman GTS to get the same driving experience. Add a carbon air box and you have a similar induction noise as the McLaren F1 because the S54 is literally half the engine with the same firing order. Pure automotive bliss. Also they made less than 5k of these globally, that\u2019s less than the Z8 and exponentially less than the E46 M3. As for the subframe, if ever an issue it is typically associated with the coupes. Here\u2019s some context, my \u201807 M Roadster has a bit over 109k miles on it. Needless to say I had the rod bearings replaced along with the water pump. My next objective is to have the VANOS replaced and the valves adjusted. The motor pulls strong all the way to 8k RPM. No tapping, unusual noise or the like. A car of this vintage and with only 22k miles is practically new. I won\u2019t be surprised if the winning bid is no less than $25-$30K. If I didn\u2019t own one already I\u2019d be inclined to bid. Heck, I may bid anyway. I guess the bottom line is the car only has 22k miles on it! Once in SA, I took it out to one the best motorcycle routes in the Texas Hill Country and as mentioned in a prior comment these are absolutely a blast to drive. My driving skills will never match the car\u2019s performance but what fun. If you\u2019re interested in a little more of an aggressive exhaust you may consider Stomung and if you\u2019re not wanting to spend ~$3k for a CSL airbox you might like something along the lines of Eventuri.
