This CLK500 is a beautiful car. It is timeless. I'm the kind of person who gets bored with a car in six months. Not this car. This car is a dream. You just think about where you want it to be and it's there. The first time I took it out, we got on the freeway. My husband turned to me and softly said, \"it's not often I see you going 110mph on the freeway.\" It has the turning radius of a thimble. Its narrow; not one of these squat, fat cars. But inside it is roomy. The seller missed the most beautiful thing about this car -- the dash. The curves on the dash are art - just lovely. The car does not look like a 17 year old car. It is timeless. The guy who bought ours called us up and told us that none of his friends and acquaintances could believe it was a 17 year old car. He told us he felt guilty for paying so little for it. As the car aged, we'd go out looking for another. Two, three, four times we went out and drove other cars. We'd think, umm, okay and then get back into the CLK and realize it was so much nicer, so much tighter, so much quieter, so much better driving, and we'd go home. Even new Mercedes. Yuck. Have you seen the interior of those? They're horrid. What did we get as a replacement? We got a Macan. That Macan is nice. It was the only vehicle we drove that felt like a better car. And know what? I hate it. Hate is too strong, but it's not something I look forward to even getting into. Yeah, it's a nice car and it's more versatile than the CLK but it's cramped, and it beeps, and has all sorts of useless whiz bang stuff. Whoever is looking at this CLK, you will not be disappointed --- unless you want a backup camera, and beeping and flashing lights, and a monstrous center console. (The mechanic also inspected and cleared the other window regulators.) This car is a jewel. It is in pristine condition. I am selling it precisely so that a proper collector can give it the attention and reverence it deserves.
