Thought someone put my car up for sale until I saw the engine: my car was converted to a Volvo B18 engine with 4-speed and O/D. No sheet metal was cut so the car looks stock except to the MG enthusiast. With over 90 hp the car is very fun to drive and good on the road.\r\n But with modifications becoming so commonplace in the vintage car world, maybe my car is not so worthless as my MG brethren keep telling me. \r\n These cars with the stock engine must be used carefully on modern roads as their lack of power and relatively weak brakes can make them a bit dangerous in traffic and on highways.\r\n But the steering box and handling are addictive, is easy to work on, and parts are readily available. Cosmetically, it has been mentioned about the delamination starting to creep in from the side of the windshield. On the underside, a photo shows some chipping of paint off the oil pan and I\u2019m sure one can find places where some touch up paint could cover some scratches and chipping. The paint covering the top of the radiator needs to be redone as it is starting to bubble. The photos show all the wood to be in amazing shape. I wouldn\u2019t describe the car to be in concours class but I suspect it would not take much to push it over that boundary. I say that not from any experience.
