Took the bike to Speedwerks for a clutch replacement, as that was my assumption, but Steve said no. He looked at the condition of the bike and told me that it would be an anomaly if it needed replacement as the pig isn't hard on clutch plates. His guys checked the action, and then dug into the cylinder itself. Found that it had some debris preventing full release of the clutch, and rebuilt it because \"they were in there.\"\r\n\r\nI had the tires replaced by Kurt before it was shipped to me. Were any components within the front or rear brakes rebuilt? Or are they still on the original seals and o rings, as far as you know?\n- Given the mileage and the fact that it wasn't mentioned I am assuming the bike is still on the original pads and rotors. Is this true? Can you provide photos of how much pad material is left on all the brake pads?\n- Also assuming the forks and shock have been left alone given the low mileage. Can you confirm neither have been rebuilt and have remained untouched since new?\n- Do you know when the coolant was last flushed?\n- Is the bike still on the original spark plugs?\n- The description notes that that the bike has \"a service record\". What service records were you able to get from the previous owner?\n- I see the torn decal and scuffs/scratches on the clutch cover and bar end on the right side of the bike. I assume from a tip over? Don't see any marks on the right muffler so I assume this happened with the previous owner before the aftermarket mufflers went on. They bite like they should, don't fade or leak, nor do they shimmy.\n\nKurt, the prior owner said that he changed the coolant, plugs and brake fluid right before putting the bike up for sale. I'll post a copy of the correspondence I received when I purchased the bike for reference.\n\nForks don't leak and seem to function correctly. I'm 185# with gear, and not necessarily the fastest rider, so I'm sure I didn't push the suspension anywhere near it's limits. \n From my understanding, Kurt actually still works for the dealership where the bike was purchased. He kept the bike for 20+ years in maniacal condition, but no concrete records came with the bike, unfortunately. \nWhich leads me into the scrapes pictured. I received extensive photos of the bike before I purchased it, and it was in museum quality condition then. I had the bike shipped from Nebraska to me in Delaware, and it arrived at around midnight on May 8th of last year. \nThe driver didn't speak good English, and we both were tired. He tried to tell me something, but my Russian isn't too good. When I looked the bike over the next morning in daylight, I discovered the engine case, bar end and decal scrapes.\nThe bike was never dropped by Kurt, nor myself, so the damage had to have happened during shipping. Definitely a bummer, but such is life.\n\nI have pictures of the brakes as well as the gas tank but am having trouble uploading them. I will post them as soon as I can. Will also post a copy of the voided Nebraska title i received at purchase in the first and only prior owner's name.
