My other '99 996 had its engine replaced with a crate Porsche motor in 2005 and its bearing was upgraded to a dual-row LN bearing. But I've read that Porsche changed the bearing on remanufactured engines after 2005. \r\n\r\nAnd since the engine was installed in 2012, it would seem to me that Porsche would put the most up-to-date bearing in the engine.
