The fit of the doors is certainly a super positive-probably the best I've ever seen. Many people are changing over to electric actuators as the hydraulic originals (think convertible top ram) were terrible and most air door changeovers were a nightmare. I still enjoy the absolute fun of squireing a Bricklin as nobody has heard of them and most call them a painted DeLorean. This is a fairly late build 75 that was apparently Safety Suntan at birth. Can't say I like the nose job or the \"wing\" but the console and the wood overlay on the dash look great and the black interior instead of the factory \"phoenix tan\" is an improvement as long as the A/C blows cold. These cars had plenty of faults but drove nicely with either engine(AMC 360 in 74-351 ford in 75/76) and all but 138 built in 74 were automatic. (Series 9, Episode 5). And on FantomWorks' website, you can see pictures of it when it arrived there, it already had the wing, and the owner wanted to add the missiles. I remember an earlier episode where the owner of a Factory Five Cobra replica wanted fake machine guns mounted in the nose. Dan of FW tried to talk him out of it, but the customer is always right. In most of the episodes they take pains to show that the owners are told up front that it's going to cost more than the car is worth on the open market, and so while I wouldn't pay that amount, I don't think the customers are surprised by the bills. Bricklins are interesting, out of the box cars, and while the rockets and frankly the wing are over the top, those can be removed with maybe just a few holes to put a cap in. The nose of course was a lot of work, and I think it looks pretty good except maybe in the raised front view picture. The first purchaser of the car was the son of the person that bought all the assets of Bricklin from the bankruptcy. That first purchaser was badly injured in an airplane crash shortly after buying this Bricklin. He was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his (short) life.\r\nAs a result the car saw very little use. It has come out of storage well. It has no leaks or squeaks and functions overall quite well. While never designed as a super high performance car, the 351 pulls it along very briskly and smoothly.The car was originally manufactured with a 2 barrel carburetor. The F.A.S.T. fuel injection system improves overall drivability and usability.
