I did a complete rebuild on a 51 F1 4 years ago and it came with the V8 and Auto. You may have more work than you think ahead, but they are great looking/running when done. The bed to cab alignment issue is most likely a cracked frame just below the bed to cab area. They have a bolt hole in the top of the frame there and the C frame fatigues and cracks. Welding the frame and Boxing with xbracing to allow access to the bed bolt will fix this. Boxing the front frame at suspension, the center at bed to cab area, a strong trans bracket and additional cross bars at rear will make it a solid ride.
