The engine and transaxle have just under 7,000 miles on them. The typical horse power rating I see on the web for a 1776 engine is between 95 and 105 HP. I am not sure of the torque value. The 2333cc 160 HP engine the car was delivered with had approximately 65,000 miles on it and was starting to show its age with oil leaks and reliability issues. I wanted to experience a car as close to the original 356 as possible so I decided on a 1776. This is the same reason I switched from the 195/15 tires to the 165/15 tires.....it looks and drives more like the original 356.
