Did some time across 22 at the Race Place, started by one of his ex employees Dick Behrens. There we worked on everything. Funny story time. We rebuilt a Jag XK150 motor once. Got the crank back from machining. One rod journal had a 1/4\" wide high spot. maybe 20 mils high as though the guy didn't finish cutting. Dick, instead of sending it back, took out his file and smoothed it down, polished it up. Turned out it was an overcut journal and the high spot was the correct dimension. Upon starting the knock was unbearable as you can imagine. Remember that orange MGB-GT race car parked out front. I hated it. Thing weighed a ton and we had to push it in and out each day.\nI know the feeling as a kid seeing these cars back in the day. Quite intoxicating.
