The free trade agreement between the USA and Canada permits it with no duty. I paid no duty bringing it from Kansas to Ontario. And I had no difficulty registering the vehicle in Ontario.\r\nThe vehicle is located only 40 minutes from the US border at 1000 islands. On one of my recent sales into the USA the buyer rented a UHaul trailer to be picked up by me in Napanee,Ontario near me and I picked it up as his agent. I loaded the vehicle here, travelled the 40 minutes to the US border and met him there in the parking lot of US customs. We both went into the US Customs house at the border where he transacted the necessary import paper work. Then we returned to the trailer , unhooked it from my tow vehicle , hooked it up to his and away he went with the car on his rented trailer. In effect he purchased the vehicle as if it was located in New York State. The process at the border took 30 minutes. He never had to enter Canada and technically I never had to enter the USA as the transaction occurred ON the border. I am prepared to do the same in this case if the buyer chooses.\r\nIn the other instance the buyer hired a transporter who delivered it door to door. No problems. They do this every day.
