The K-swap went fairly smooth on the engine side of things since we went the easy route and purchased a full working vehicle (2003 Acura RSX Type S) donor car. It makes it much easier to source parts such as, CV axles, engine, transmission, ECU and a stock wiring harness. I was surprised at how many engines sold don't come with wiring. Wiring for me was the hardest part, which is why a friend of my fathers came to help for some of the process. We printed off every wiring diagram available to help us. It was a very fun project and the car could probably be a daily for some people. My father and I both live very busy lives and priorities change. We do have other cars in our small collection including another stock-ish X-1/9 that my dad bought when he was 18 years old.
