According to correspondence with Morgan Motor Company on file, it was originally dispatched on August 31st, 1966 to Fergus Motors, the Morgan dealer in New York. Originally finished in Westminster Green, it was fitted with Wire Wheels, Disc Brakes, 7HA Axle, Tonneau, Sliding Side Screens, Long Range Lamps, Heater, Defroster, Bonnet Strap, Bucket Seats, Hazard Lights, and a trimmed rear compartment.\r\n\r\nIt was purchased by its current owner in 2017 from his very good friend, UK-based Morgan expert William Wykeham, who had bought it in 2013. Mr. Wykeham has been in the Morgan world since the 1970s, as a racer, enthusiast, and later a Morgan dealer. His name is as familiar in UK Morgan circles as anyone, and this car received refurbishment work in the early 2000\u2019s.\r\n\r\nThe car benefits from diligent care in current ownership, and it operates exceedingly well on the road. The Triumph TR4 engine and Moss 4-Speed gearbox are a wonderful combination, and the vintage looks of the car give little evidence of the torquey and spirited performance potential. It drives wonderfully, and behaves like a 1966 car that has had mechanical refurbishment in the past. Knowing that the current owner maintains his collection of wonderful classic cars with his in house mechanic and keeps them all in driving condition, and knowing the past previous caretaker was a well known Morgan enthusiast in the UK \u2014 well, of course there is bias here as a seller, but we think this Morgan is a pretty solid example of a Plus 4.
