Mostly the blackened trim, the lack of bumper and rocker trim, and the painted trim rings (probably the worst offender looks wise - too \"carrera\"). Add to that the wrong size/finish wheels, wrong lenses on all corners, wrong fuel system (this year is enjoyed for its MFI, not carbs), wrong color, wrong dash, wrong seats, wrong radio, exhaust, door panels, wheel, shifter knob, mirror, blah blah...\n\nBut if you make peace with the fact it's not a stock car at all, and assuming the front suspension pan is clean and not swiss cheese, it looks like a nice toy with a great engine. If that's what you desire and the price is right, it wouldn't cost you too much to address the outside (chrome trim rings, lenses, bumperettes, windshield trim, clean up the door trim would be harder, rocker trim) and you'd be closer to the look you probably expect.. Interior wise it's not doable anymore, the price of door panels + pockets + dash + whatever is now totally ridiculous.... Primarily a street car, but it was a hoot on Rocky Mountain Porsche Club drivers education (track) days and rallies. \n\nWe took the doors, deck lids and bumpers off of the car and took them down to bare metal. We also took the windows out and took the body down to bare metal. We did all of this work in my garage. \n\n We did not take the engine compartment nor the front boot down to bare metal (although the front fenders, bumper and front hood were removed). We had a fellow from AZ who had worked at a custom motorcycle paint shop to supervise the effort. After we made certain that the car was rust free, I can't tell you how many sandable primer coats were applied and block sanded to get the paint job that you see in the pictures.\n\nDefinitely need to re-attach the passenger seat belt and find another set of exterior mirrors. The ODO stop working at around 94K, so the 116K miles is a estimate (a high estimate). All it takes is money.
