I awaited, as is my rule in auctions, to see where the bidding started to get a feel although as I mentioned on one of my remarks I believed your build wasps worth $35,000 to $40,000 dollars TO ME. However the first bid was late in coming, I believe not until the late second day and in my mind it was a VERY unrealistic first bid. I also believe my sentiment was nearly exactly like many of the folks following your auction as a car of your quality should have many more bids than it did all along. This sent a signal to me and other potential buyers that the first bidder was totally intent on purchasing your car or helping it reach an unrealistic value. Neither of these were conducive to me feeling that the car was obtainable. My concern, and most likely you will not believe, is that the first bid actually RUINED your auction, not me. Donald like many here I love cars and have owned many and still do. I have both bought and sold cars at Barrett Jackson and Russo Steele as well as more regional auctions in Georgia and California and still will if it seems right. Your auction, in my opinion regardless of angry comments by others, went off the rails with the first bid. Compare the number of bids you received vs the number of followers and compare that with other auctions. I feel badly for you and every comment I made was truthful and heartfelt. I hope ultimately the original bidder finds you as I have other auctions and buys your beautiful creation. I was partly vilified for being honest by other bidders but where were their bids? Anyway like I said it's a magnificent car and I would very much have loved to own it but that time, especially in light of your moderately negative remarks I believe unjustified, has led me to loose interest and I will continue my Ranchero search elsewhere.
