This is an absolutely amazing car! I've seen and driven this car in person at the Merit location and it is, without question, THE best RS Recreation I've ever seen! The guy who wanted this car really wanted a 73RS and just didn't want to spend $750,000 to get one. Let's start with the GREAT about the car: a real 72 chassis so it's the correct weight for a 73RS; correctly welded on (just like the factory did) fender flares vs. just installing SC quarter panels like so many shops do; a correct 7R case with real mechanical fuel injection just like the factory 73RS; correct factory Recaro sports seats; correct S gauges; correct lightweight 73RS style interior door trim; from what I can tell...a REAL 73RS rear ducktail that came off of a light yellow RS (the tail alone is worth about $15k); Sekurit glass throughout; correct torsion bar suspension like the 73RS; correct 915 gearbox with all of the correct 73RS gearing (which was actually the same as all 73 cars); heck, they even stamped the paint tag the correct code for Viper green!\r\n\r\nI've driven a ton of 915 boxes and I can say this one is one of the best I've ever encountered. It is extremely communicative and does not feel \"vague\" like so many. The guys in England sure know their gearboxes.\r\n\r\nBut then, the engine...holy cow!! Incredible is the only word that comes to mind. Completely a puppy dog until you really get on it...and above 5,400 RPM, an absolute rocket ship. The pull is unbeleivable. And for the guy asking about oil pressure...that's 2 BAR at only 700RPM (about 28 psi!) which is incredible pressure. \r\n\r\nSo one of the invoices I see shows the guy spent 100,000 Pounds with one place and that doesn't even include buying the car, all of the other items that go into restoring a car to this level, etc, etc, etc. He had to have nearly $200,000 into this car, easily.\r\n\r\nOverall, just amazing.
