I owned a similar \u201897 XLS in Champagne (very similar to this color, but not quite). Bought it CPO with 26K miles on the clock. I had the bucket seats and console instead of the sofa seat. Kept it until 140k miles then had no trouble selling it. \n\nSome notes:\n\n1. Non interference engine. Timing belt is only a minor issue. \n2. Yes, you won\u2019t even know there was a railway crossing or speed bump there. \n3. Leather apparently lasts forever - with occasional care. Dog barf, etc. not a problem. \n4. Damn close to 30mpg on trips if you keep it to posted limits - I did not. \n5. Cruising at 80 to 85 on I-35 not a problem. This car does NOT attract attention. \n6. I had the front suspension tweaked to improve handling. Good tires really do help. \n7. Changing oil if I remember is a pain. Started using the local dealer. \n8. The guy I sold it to put another 100k on it. \n9. Totally comfortable. \n10. In January of 2020 a friend of mine and I did a deal where I ended up with a recently traded in 2000 Avalon in the ubiquitous sand/gold metallic. The original owners traded it back into the same dealer for a new CHR and I could not believe how well that car ran and drove at 137k miles. The service file was large and went back to the original window sticker. As soon as I had the car inspected I made the mistake of mentioning it to a co-worker and they hounded me nonstop for a week until I sold it to him.
