They are really fantastic cars, I think about driving it anytime I\u2019m in another car. Suspension is much better than they imply in the video, took mine home on 250 mile mixed highway and city roads and was totally fine, a little stiff but not at all punishing and was comfortable on a longish ride. It definitely is a car on that sweet spot of plenty of power and ability but not sooo much that you can never enjoy it on a real road (still plenty fast). The boost from the turbos is really fun on these, over 3000rpm there\u2019s a huge surge of power. I\u2019ve had an n54 335i and it\u2019s totally different in the 1m. Not quite the smooth linear pull the 335i had but much more eager in the 1m. Loves to rev just not to redline like the e92 m3. The rush of power comes earlier and ends earlier. It\u2019s a different feeling than naturally aspirated but again really works great in real world. You get such a rush of power between 3000 and 5000rpm and you really feel it with the analog setup and small car. I am not sure I would redline to 8000k plus regularly in an e92 m3. The short wheelbase makes this so lively and fun. Will keep my eye on this one, already want a second one, would drive a 1m daily if wasn\u2019t so collectible and special. I was initially disappointed to have one in my car due to aesthetics. However, ownership has made me appreciate the usefulness and simplicity of the BMW CIC system. It's a lot easier to adjust your radio, mess with the car settings, stream bluetooth, etc.. As well, it can be upgraded to android auto/apple carplay with easily installed and reversible aftermarket mods easily and cheaply if that's your thing. I'm now glad that my car has this system. For several years I had the option of the 1M or E46M3 (vert) in the garage and as a daily driver the available torque of the 1M is easily the car to choose. It\u2019s such an easy car to drive in traffic around town and you can often creep in a higher gear than needed to use the torque. When you need power just drop a gear.. The Boost does run out rapidly around 6k, but there is plenty of torque still in the next gear. The mad rush to the relatively low redline and the overboost make acceleration in it unique and thrilling and sometimes even scary!
