I am confident in this magnificent machine's performance and eye-catching exterior as a BaT-worthy vehicle offered to potential buyers and enthusiasts. Since I am not a dealer yet, I had to title the car in my name while ensuring it is in pristine working condition. This is why I only briefly own it. \n\nOn that note, Cafax has four owners listed, which is inaccurate. There were two owners before me. The first owner purchased the car in 2003 and owned it until 2023. He then sold it to his mechanic at the end of 2023.\u00a0 For some reason, Carfax counts a loan or a financed car when paid off as a new owner.\n\n\n\u00a0Here is what I learned about the car before I purchased it.\nThe original\u00a0owner sold the car to his long-time mechanic, who wanted it as a gift to his son, who was graduating and off to college at the end of this year. The mechanic, who also owns the auto shop, took his time to replace anything he felt wasn't perfect so that he could present this car to his son. As the many invoices will show, he spent a lot of money to replace many parts. The prices you see are the wholesale prices for business owners. He and his crew did the work.\u00a0After the car was finished, it was ready to be given as a graduation gift next month. Apparently, the son did not keep his commitment to receiving the car as a gift, so the father honored his word and put it up for sale.\u00a0 That's when I bought it.\n\nIn preparation for the sale, I had a post-sale inspection,\u00a0changed the oil, topped off all fluids, and made two new BMW keys, as the latest receipt will reflect. Nothing else needed to be done since everything had already been done within the past year.\u00a0\u00a0\n\n\nA few things to note that were not in the listing, but certainly important.\u00a0\n\n\n1. The convertible top was fitted with pistons on both sides and motorized hinges. It works flawlessly and is extremely tight\u2014there are no leaks!\n\n2. The badges/lettering on the BMW were not up to par in my opinion, looked like they were peeling and scratched. I removed them and the car was buffed and detailed\u00a0in preparation for a professional photo and video shoot. I have ordered both the Z4 and the 2.5i from BMW parts ( receipts available), and they will be delivered by\u00a0\u00a04/15- before the auction ends. I can put them on the new owner can if they choose.\u00a0\n\n3.
