Most of the heavy lifting has been done. Im not as bothered by whats under the hood as much as I am by how it has been put in there. It just looks tatty and cheap. Clich\u00e9 air cleaner, filthy valve covers etc. It can all be cleaned up and made to look 1000 times better in a weekend so no huge foul. I get the reason for the use of the 350 (they are easy to fit) but so is a 302. I have cars with both. One of the big reasons for choosing the 350 over the 302 is that the 350 is, with the distributer in the rear, a much nicer looking motor. You don't have plug wires crawling all over the front of the motor and for fussy people like me, that can be a biggie. \nIf this truck were bagged, and you could choose that ride height for a slow cruise down the boulevard, then this stance would be fine. Since it isn't, it must ride like a buckboard, and might explain why the seller only put 300 miles on it. Again, it can be fixed.\nWhat I really like is the chrome grill teeth. They are so often painted I have to guess that they all came from the factory painted. Its an expensive thing to do so thumbs up to the builder for doing it. Chrome aint cheap. I think it would look better with chrome bumpers but hopefully the owner has those. If not, ebay does.\nIm not a fan of the diamond interior but again, if you are buying a hotrod you are going to want to make it your own anyway, so who cares? Its one seat and two door panels.\nThe biggest problem to fix might be the sins that were perpetrated hacking that head unit into the dash. Someone needs a beating for that. Unless you have some replacement parts, a welder, and a paint gun, you are going to have to live with that.\nAll in all, its a solid foundation. If the price stays reasonable, this is how you buy a hotrod; mostly completed and ready to personalize to your taste.
