He adored it, The Hot-Rod Lincoln song was one he would hum while he drove. He had come to me and asked if I would help with his bolt-ons before he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Scotty succumbed to the cancer & we lost him earlier last season. However before we lost him he did enjoy his car. \r\n\r\nScott had always had cool cars. He kept them in perfect condition and very low miles. When I first met him he was driving a F150 Lightning that he custom striped and had given it a nice authoritative tone to the pipes (like this Lincoln). He loved cars & trucks and always was welcoming to others with the same affection. Scott had several neat cars of distinction including this Continental. However as the cancer progressed he did not get to drive them much. Only driving them a few times each season to keep them clean & lubricated. He would often times just look at the cars with his Sons and friends. That was enough on some days. But this car he liked to listen to. The great & popular 5.0 V8 muscle. It was in the same colors that the dealership brochure showed in a two page section. She was smitten by that photo. \r\n\r\nIn comparison to the others the Givenchy was pure luxury. The special spoked wheel, two tone paint treatment, seats that could get her right up by the steering wheel, a digital dash that made it easy on the eyes, and all the special bits that were included. Delores was sold. \r\n\r\nShe paid a princely sum of $25,388.97 & $1,396.39 tax in cash with no trade that November day. Her only request was that no-one else would drive the car, as she wanted to put all the miles on it herself. Therefore Delores took delivery with only 10 miles on the odometer. \r\n\r\nDelores drove that car (and no one else) up until the 19th day of Sept 2012 when at 26,809 miles she sold the Continental. She was a wonderful stuart of the Lincoln and should be applauded on how well she took care of it. \r\n\r\nThe new owner took it to TX and cherished it too. Rarely driving it while keeping it well maintained. It was then sold to Scott in 2014 for him to enjoy. \r\n\r\nThree lucky owners...
