Twice the horsepower of the austin powered Sevens. \nNow, if you want to use that horsepower, you might want to do some updating of the chassis, as in the ensuing 60 years those rivets have been loosening and lots of other stuff, but that is really buyer's choice. There is so much good about this car, that drive it or sympathetic restoration, either is a good decision. What's not hard to determine is these cars are a blast to drive. One thing to remember is these cars are tiny and very hard to see especially in this color. If it was me I'd want to drive it a lot with that in mind I'd want to refinish the body and consider a high visibility paint job like a bright red or yellow. Of course that's something the new owner will have to decide.\r\n\r\nI owned a '62 S7 for six years I don't know how many miles it had on it when I got or how many miles I put on it because it didn't have a speedo/odometer but I know I did put a lot of miles on it. FWIW, Craig is a long time 7 racer, including I believe National Champion at least once, and his maintenance/preparation/restoration work is impeccable.\r\n\r\nMaybe I've missed a comment below, but don't believe anyone has mentioned that the rear axle has been braced. These axles are known for flexing, and the bracing prevents that and the associated issues that come with flexing.
