I don't even mind the wheels/tires; they look good here, and I say that as someone who's not generally a fan of modern shoes on old trucks. The whole build is nicely integrated and has a coherent vibe, which can be hard to do when incorporating so many modern touches. Keeping the flathead was the thing that ties it all together.\n\nIf I had to single out something I don't care for, it would be the super-zoomy upper radiator hose assemblies, which remind me of bathroom-sink plumbing. And the underhood area in general is a bit chromey and glitzy for my taste, but OTOH it is really clean. I might consider swapping out the everyone's-got-one Edelbrock AFB for a period Holley 4150 and air cleaner.\n\nAll in all, pretty minor nitpicks on an outstanding build. This thing has an \"I'm all done\" quality to it that you rarely see on restomods. Well done - it's a beautiful truck. The aluminum Edelbrock heads were put on to help the engine run cooler because of the larger water jackets in the Edelbrock heads. The flatheads are very unique in that there are 2 water pumps,2 thermostats and literally are two separate cooling systems. Every time I show this truck, the comments are how smooth and quiet the engine runs. If you haven\u2019t ever sit in one it\u2019s hard to explain, but I can ride in it and be comfortable, my legs will not stretch out all the way but I am not cramped. I have driven this truck to my Lake house multiple times and its a little over a hour away and I really dont even think about being uncomfortable, me and my wife ride in it there and we enjoy the ride.
