And that dynamic little package is only a couple feet behind your ears. From readings, only the Mk 1a had a subwoofer under the seat, 1b had the wiring. Wonder what other sources are there? Regardless, we no longer believe anything we read and usually don't trust the source any more. We have a Mk1a (1986 ) with the sub woofer, the two tone seats, spats ahead of the rear wheels and (some say) the best handling of the Mk 1 cars. 74 k miles and always anxious to start ( both the MR and us: we love it).
