A few notes. I have put a few miles on a 1950 Mark VI and did some work on it. As this car has the European plates on it I would say it was delivered in Europe. Probably Great Britain. \nThe gear change leaver works well and does not bother ones ingress or egress of the car and there is plenty of room to work the leaver. It just works. Wear can develop in the linkage and if not shifted properly it can lock up. Never happened to me but several other people who drove that car did it. Was not hard or took long to unlock it. It was not all that hard to fix. Keep it lubed. \n\nThe fender mounted mirrors on the one I drove where next to useless. Note that on the fire wall in photo 33 are 2 coils. One is kept as a spare. \n\nThe big canister above the motor feeding the carburetors is NOT an air filter. It is a silencer. The only filtering is the metal gaze you can see on the forward end of it. I have heard the Rolls club or some one builds a filter setup for it. If it is not in there already. Not having seen one I do not know if it can be seen. England is a damper climate so they had much less dust than the US generally has. \n\nThe valve cover is a plastic. I did not realize that until after I had removed it and was holding it in my hands.
