This car appears to have too many obvious cosmetic and mechanical needs to list. It does appear to be a solid car and well worth saving provided it does not have rust in the structure of the body. \r\n\r\nThe new owner must develop a plan! If at all possible look the car over in person or even better have a trusted expert examine the car. Since the car is located in the midwest I would suggest contacting David Hume at Excelsior Motors in Midway, Kentucky. David operates a small, family operated shop, specializing in the restoration of Citroen SM's. This shop has a very large supply of new and used parts for this car. David will likely be able to assist you with contacts to transport this car. Thanks for the comment. For what it\u2019s worth, I am not trying to hide anything or make any representations beyond what I know. I am not a mechanic and cannot judge the mechanical condition. When I bought the car, it had been in storage for 14 years and was clearly a \u201cproject.\u201d It was running at the time and running quite smoothly. When the car was shipped to my house, I started it and drove it on to the lift in my garage. I had a mechanic that was going to do work on it, but between both of our schedules, the pandemic and his move, we just never got it in. A few years later I saw another one here that was running and I bought it. The project just never happened. While it ran when I parked it, I was told not to run it until the valves and timing chains could be replaced. When I pulled it out to sell it, I attempted to start it, but was unable. I have no doubt that someone with mechanic skill could get it started in short order, but since i have little to none of those skills, I cannot. Obviously, after sitting for 21 years, it would need the brakes and suspension system completely gone through to replace seals and hoses. What else? I honestly do not know. What I do know is that it is solid and complete. These cars are unique and wonderful and I\u2019m quite sure this will be a nice project for someone who has a little skill and some time. Involves some simple disassembly of the auxiliary drive shaft. Once removed, you can spin the pump with a drill and socket and once pressurized, the suspension will lift up, brakes will work and power steering will also work.
