My very first car was a 2003 Subaru WRX I\u2019m world rally blue that I bought from the original owner in 2012. It had 200,000 miles on it and I, as a sophomore in college for trombone, decided that if it broke I would fix it. I had no idea how I would do that but I resolved. Winter came along and as Subarus of 200k are prone to do, it blew head gaskets. Thus I began a three month lesson of teaching myself how to rebuild a Subaru engine in my garage, in Ohio, in the winter. I emerged in the spring victorious, having given many cold outs of blood, sweat and literal tears shed lying underneath my propped up car. Fast forward two years later and I had raced in my first SCCA Rally cross and crashed my precious car, take. It back home and learned how to swap engines and bodies, and started my own mobile mechanic business that I still run to this day. So, to say that the sound of your forester starting and running just from your phone camera makes me feel nostalgic just doesn\u2019t do it justice. for anyone who read this dumb long post, thank you.
