I graduated from trade school in '83 and repaired many of these. The older bodymen hated repairing these imports because repairs had to be perfect and they couldn't use shims to make things fit. I did have an issue with finding parts however and the next owner should go in with eyes wide open. Finding replacement parts was like searching for hens teeth. I had assumed more shared parts with the Accord than was the reality. The worst situation was a leaking power steering rack which was miraculously solved by tracking down another Prelude owner who had a rebuild kit. For some, the parts search adventure may be part of the allure.
