There are also quite a number of world experts on these cars on that forum who are quite adept at pointing out flaws that potential buyers may not be savvy or educated enough to pick out for themselves.\r\n\r\nAs has been said, the cars speak for themselves, and the market responds accordingly. Plenty of cars here have gone for big (and some would say too big) money. But that's the market !!\r\n\r\nThis car's seller came onto the 500Eboard peddling this car for $50K, and when realized he didn't have such a spendy bird in hand, he started back-pedaling downward, lickety-split. \r\n\r\nNot long ago he then deleted his \"back-pedaling\" comments, as if the moderators of that forum wouldn't reinstate them. When this auction was complete, he then posts a little \"victory dance\" message to rub it in. \r\n\r\nSo, the supposedly outraged seller, is no more classy than the experts on the forum that he and others on this site decry as jerks. \r\n\r\nHundreds of people have been spared from making poor decisions on buying 500Es (often with shady history, undisclosed accidents and tens of thousands of dollars of deferred maintenance) through the historical information on the listings of cars that have come up for sale over the years on the 500Eboard. \r\n\r\nTo a seller who doesn't like the fact that their car is discussed on the 500Eforum, that's too bad!! Present your car fully and appropriately and accurately, and respond to questions that people ask here when the car is up for auction, and let the chips fall where they may. The 500E forum doesn't ruin these cars' prices .... your poor condition and/or poorly presented cars ruin these cars' prices. \r\n\r\nNot to mention your over-inflated ideas of their value.
