Bought it, and embarked on my first restoration. New interior mohair seat covers and white tire wheel inserts (went between the edge of the rim and the hub cap), thanks to the JC Whitney catalogue. Next stop was the local Earl Sheib Paint Shop for a black paint job. Sand it down before you bring it in, and I recall the paint job not being much more that 79.95! A friend and I did our best to tune it up and get it running. Brakes and the \u201cDynaslush\u201d tranny worked well. Drove it around town for a year and felt like the king of the world. A knock at the door one day, and there was a much older gentleman parked out front in an almost identical version of the same Roadmaster. He asked if I would sell mine, and offered me $1600 dollars. I was into the car for a total of $650, so at 19 years old, I thought I hit the lottery (before there was lotteries)!
