The powerful presence and sporting nature are particularly surprising considering this car is nearly 100 years old. \n\nRegarding the plaque referencing Ab Jenkins, this is the original plaque for this car. Many of these plaques were removed from Speedsters and more recently reproductions were made to replace lost ones. This is the original plaque. Each and every Speedster was reportedly personally driven by Jenkins in excess of 100 miles an hour and then each plaque was inscribed to reflect the recorded mph achievement of that specific car. \n\nThe restoration work on this car is absolutely the finest you will ever find, in every respect. It was performed by one of the most knowledgable Auburn specialists, having restored multiple award-winning Boattail Speedster restorations before completing this car. It would be very difficult to find a more original, matching numbers factory built Supercharged Speedster restored to this level of excellence. \n\nLastly, the color is simply beautiful. The car will always carry its certification but updating does nothing to hurt the provenance and allows the club to keep up on where the car is. I owned a Cord Westchester once that was twice-certified. So for the new owner, I suggest you submit the car for certification in your name even if already certified. The exterior color reflected his family name. The interior was finished in Caramel hides, a metaphor for what Mr. DeMint does with the real sources of his income.\r\n\r\nThe Speedster was one of the finest automobiles to ever cruise the Quarter, though the reputation of its owner was not.\r\n\r\nRegardless, it was time for Mr. DeMint\u2019s namesake to begin college.
