Car needed two side sills, two wheels, two lower control arms and the frame. It was the the big item that caused the insurance company to balk at fixing it. Do some research to find out how much a frame costs then add the $7500 for the physical replacement.\r\n\r\n@cbezzant it hit a curb on surface streets not expressway. \r\n\r\nAlthough i am siply representing the car for the owner I personally saw this car right after the current owner purchased it. Honestly I could see the superficial damage mentioned above but did not know that it needed a frame. My son actually toyed with the idea of buying it. But he was being transferred for work down to TX and would be living in an apartment. No room for a project. It is a pretty rare color combination. Less than 100 were built in this combination in 2000. The frames on any car can be easily damaged due to government safety regulations since the 70's. There are plenty of shops that can replace a corner or maybe even half a frame with a section from a donor to do it \"Cheap\". If you check around there are people selling portions of frames on ebay and elsewhere. The shop only has to disassemble as much as needed. \n\nNow look at the youtube videos which are linked above. These videos are provided by Brads Autobody in Roanoke, IL. You will see what goes into the only proper way to carry out a frame repair, by starting with a new one.. Definitely costly but then you have a car that is straight and drives as well as before. This is the exact process that went into repairing this car. Brads Autobody is the premier Viper repair shop in the Midwest and maybe one of only a couple in the country willing to go to this extent.They have over 20 years experience with Vipers. \n\nThis example is fully sorted, no excuses. New tires, new brakes, refinished wheels, re-charged AC, tune-up, recent new clutch, all fluids, etc., etc., etc. Look at the attached invoice. This car is ready to be enjoyed for years to come. So comparing apples to apples meaning the 99 and this 2000 due to the more desirable exterior and interior colors its really hard to make much of your assessment. Regarding the RNM sometimes it may mean unrealistic expectations but it easily can mean \"That Day\" the right bidders weren't in the room.
