I'd also locate a pristine T-120R Bonneville, '68 through '70. I'd put said Bonny in my garage/living room as art and only ride it enough to keep the seals moist. I'd fit the Tiger with a Mikuni carb, circa 32mm and an electronic ignition and ride the snot out of it. The TR6 is my favorite all-round British bike, because of their reliability and that gorgeous engine. The instruments and every other detail on this bike are correct. Personally I like the '68's best for looks, but this one is just fine. Usually I swap the 19-tooth countershaft sprocket for a 20, just to lower the vibration on faster roads. They will not pull a 21 tooth. Compared to more modern bikes, these feel like a bicycle, light and very quick handling. Suspension and brakes are just adequate but who cares, you are not going racing. The buyer will have a lot of fun. However, with a recent sleeving this one should be fine for years. Properly adjusted the twin leading shoe brake up front will provide very good stopping power, don't expect as much from the rear. Bonnevilles make a few more horsepower at higher rpm, but these motors vibrate pretty bad above 3,500 rpm or so. Also the twin carb throttles are a pain to hold open for any length of time, so after about a half hour you'll be wishing you were on a TR6. I always had the most fun on these bikes either cruising the larger boulevards where you could do about 50 mph, or up in the mountains at 50 to 65.
