According to information from previous owners and information on bmwregistry.com (https://bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=13023), the car was described to be Henna Red. Our understanding is that the color sticker shows \u201cSonderlackung,\u201d which translates to \u2018Individual\u2019 or special order. We believe that because the Henna Red color was not available during this car\u2019s window of production, the Sonderlackung sticker was applied. As some have noted, including @Alank who knows this car well, this example may truly be a one-off color that is close to Henna. We would obviously love to hear from more E24 experts on this subject. \n\nMechanically, we performed a comprehensive inspection prior to our acquisition in April 2023 and subsequently serviced the car to ensure it performs as beautifully as it looks. I purchased the refinished 17\" BBS RS 211s from Ehrlich Wheels Works and sold off the original wheels. I also installed the NOS Blaupunkt Lexington radio cassette, which replaced a terrible old Motorola radio that had been installed in the car at some point.\n\nalank, who has posted below, runs the best BMW service and repair facility I have found in about 35 years of fooling around with these old cars. His shop serviced it during its time in the metro Atlanta area and he knows the car very well.\n\nThe seller might want to post some photos of the carpet with the mats removed. In April, everything works as intended. The only item we did not address is the gas struts for the seats. Those results are about 26 years old, so it\u2019s tough to know much about the dyno that was used.
